Sea Venture is a small family run Guest House just 200 metres from the beach. This slightly remote but restful Island has something to offer every visitor, whether they enjoy the sunshine, sea views or dramatic sunsets.

Hayling Island has two BLUE FLAGS AWARD beaches

There are nature walks around the beach areas and along the shore line to the west of the Island (Hayling Billy Trail) including English Nature’s sites of special scientific interest and conservation areas. Bird watchers just love this area with all the different varieties of birds to see.

For water sports enthusiasts Hayling has some of the best sail board and kite surfing areas in the country We also have a number of sailing clubs including one which is a centre of excellence for British sailing and trains some of our Olympic sailors.

For the fisherman Hayling has a large charter fleet of charter boats for inshore, offshore and wreck fishing. Shore fishing can also be enjoyed with plenty of mackerel swimming right up to the beach during the summer. For the fresh water angler there are local lakes where day tickets can be purchased.

Hayling also has a slipway for launching your own boat at all states of the tide.

If you just want to laze on the beach there is still plenty to see with views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight, large cruise and cargo ships and ferries passing not forgetting yachts and smaller boats.

If you want to see local sites there is the delightful waterside town of Emsworth and the Cathedral City of Chichester to the east, not forgetting neighbouring Portsmouth with its historic dockyard to the West. All this within half an hour, travelling by car or bus if you feel lazy.

We have one double, ground floor en-suite room which is also suitable for semi disabled persons. On the first floor we have one double en-suite and one twin room with adjoining private shower/bathroom..

Overnight storage is offered for sail and kite boards, bicycles, fishing tackle, golf clubs, as well as facilities for drying wet suits, wash down equipment, or freezer space for bait and fish.

What better at the end of the day to find a comfortable bed in light, airy surroundings, with en-suite, beverage tray, refrigerator, television and video facilities in every room. We also now have wireless connection to the internet.

With a good breakfast, sea air and friendly hosts.
